Slipknot and Chainstitch Tutorial

Welcome Back. The latest video just released teaching us how to do the slipknot and chain stitches.

Slipknot:

First off we learn how to do a slipknot:

• You take the tail end of your yarn and wrap it around your index finger as on the screen shot from the video above.

• Then put the crochet hook through the working end of the loop on your finger as per below screen shot.

• Hook the tail end and pull it through the loop on your index finger, still pinching the tail between your thumb and index finger (see below two screen shots)

• Slip the loop off your index finger whilst holding on to the tail end

• You can pull the knot tight around your crochet hook using the tail end.

To create some chain stitches:

• Put you crochet hook with the slipknot on it in your right hand and wrap the working yarn around your left index finger as per below screen shot.

• Put the crochet hook under and through the working yarn on your index finger:

• Hook the working yarn and pull it through the loop on your crochet hook:

• You now have your first chain stitch completed!

Repeat the above steps to create a foundation of chain stitches:

And there you go!
