Back Loop Single Crochet Stitch

Good day. I hope that your day thus far has been wonderful.
Let's get right into the back loop single crochet stitch:

1) If you are starting out a new project, first you will need to create a foundation chain.

2) To start your new row you will need to chain 1 stitch and then turn your work:

3) Looking at the stitch anatomy:
This is your front loop:

And this is your back loop:

4) Put your crochet hook through the back loop:

5) Yarn over:

6) Pull the yarn through the back loop of the stitch:

7) Yarn Over:

8) Pull the yarn through the two loops on the crochet hook.
Once you've worked two or more rows you will start to see ridges forming. These are great for creating ribbing in your projects:
